CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., Oct. 30, 2009 – Southeast Missouri State University-Sikeston hosted Student Appreciation Days for its students and faculty Aug. 28-29. 

The two-day event, sponsored by the Sikeston Campus's Advisory Council and area businesses, offered pizza, doughnuts, ice cream, soda and other refreshments to students to express appreciation for the students who attend classes in Sikeston. 

In addition to the refreshments, they also gave away door prizes, such as gas cards, to the students who attended. 

“This event was made possible through the support of area businesses,” Sikeston Campus Director Judy Buck said.  “Without the students, we wouldn’t be here.”

This fall, SAHEC’s enrollment reached 866 students, up from 763 students in fall 2008.
