The Southeast Show Band is a select group of students that performs at all Southeast Redhawk basketball games in the Show Me Center and for special University events. The Southeast Show Band is one of the top basketball bands in the Ohio Valley Conference (OVC). They have performed at numerous OVC Conference basketball tournaments in Nashville, and have performed at the first round of the NCAA Basketball Tournament in Salt Lake City, Utah, in 1999.  The band receives accolades from visiting coaches and referee’s alike for their spirited performances at Southeast basketball games.

The Southeast Show Band is one of the most visible musical organizations on campus and generates excitement and enthusiasm everywhere they perform. Selection for membership in the Southeast Show Band is limited to members of the Golden Eagles Marching Band by audition. Auditions occur during the week prior to the beginning of the fall semester. The membership of the Southeast Show Band is limited to 35 performers. Members of the Southeast Show Band receive a scholarship for their participation.
