Home of Southeast's ACEJMC-Accredited Mass Communication Program

Welcome to the Department of Mass Media web site. Our department offers degrees in Mass Communication, with options in Advertising, Journalism, Public Relations, Radio and Television/Film. For each, the department provides a winning combination of:

Accreditation: Each of our programs in Mass Media are accredited by ACEJMC, the Accrediting Council on Education in Journalism and Mass Communications.

Professional Advisory Council: The Department of Mass Media's faculty remain current by reading the latest literature in their respective areas, attending conferences and conventions, and producing pedagogical and scholarly works. In addition, we meet regularly with professionals who serve on our Professional Advisory Council to obtain their input on curricular offerings and practices. In these ways we strive to ensure that our students receive a first-rate, up-to-date education and can excel in their career.
