Office: International Center
Zahir is responsible for directing the operation of the office, including international student recruiting, international student services, international study abroad and exchange programming, and English language programs. He has a master's degree in counseling from California State University-Fresno and a bachelor's of science degree in psychology from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville. Before coming to Southeast in 2008, Zahir directed the international offices at the State University of New York at Oneonta, the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, the University of Dayton and California State University at San Bernardino. He also worked as an international student advisor at California State University at Fresno, the University of California at Riverside and Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville. Zahir and his wife, Seemi, have two children, Sana and Zohaib.
