All students who wish to study at Southeast Missouri State, but are not US citizens or US permanent residents, are required to submit the following:
Covers processing and mailing of admission documents. You may complete payment in one of the following two ways:
Check or Dollar Draft payable to “Southeast Missouri State University”. Please include the name of the applicant on the check or money order in memo area. To pay your fee online, please use the following link: https://app.semo.edu/sfs/pymt/intlapplfee/. Please print TWO copies of your confirmation page: one for you to keep and one to include with your application materials.
For secondary and post-secondary levels AND graduation confirmation. Official copies or certified (true) copies or your original documents are required. If your documents are not in English, you must also provide certified English translations. Post-secondary (college/university) transcripts require course descriptions in English to determine credit transferability (undergraduates only). Course descriptions are NOT required for admission, but they should be sent prior to arrival. ONLY graduate applicants without 4+ year bachelor’s or previous master’s are required to submit a WES evaluation.
Financial documents must be dated within 12 months of the date of application.You will be held personally responsible for all expenses you incur while in school at Southeast, even if you are sponsored by another person or agency. You will be required to prove your financial ability to the U.S. Consulate in order to be approved for your visa. Southeast Missouri State University has no federal or state funds which are available to foreign students as mandated by law.

Option 2: Applicants in good standing who have completed at least one academic year of full-time degree studies at an accredited American university or college may be considered for a waiver of the English language requirement.
Option 3: Students from the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and New Zealand are exempt from English proficiency verification. Applicants with 2.5 or better GPA are waived SAT/ACT.
Please submit a photocopy of your current I-20 or DS-2019.
