orientation for new employees

Congratulations on your new position at Southeast Missouri State University. We hope that you find your work here interesting and challenging, and find our community friendly and supportive. To assist your smooth entry into the University, Human Resources encourages you to become familiar with all the subjects listed in the following new staff member orientation index. Always feel free to contact Human Resources if you have questions about working at Southeast Missouri State University.

New Staff Orientation

Human Resources conducts orientations for new staff at Southeast Missouri State University every quarter. The orientation will include a brief history of the University and its mission, an overview of personnel policies and will include a luncheon starting at 12:00 noon. In addition, the orientation has been expanded to include sexual harassment training, training & development opportunities, campus safety and a campus tour. Newly hired staff will be pre-registered, automatically, for orientation and will receive notification of the date for which they are registered at their home department. If notification of registration is not received within two months of your hire date, please contact Dana Seabaugh at dnseabaugh@semo.edu or call (573) 651-5096.
