We at the Office of Residence Life strive to assign each individual a roommate that matches his/her lifestyle.  Much of the matching is based on student answers provided as part of the Contract for University Housing. As part of our ongoing effort to provide the best roommates, housing, and lifestyle choices to Southeast Missouri State University students, we have partnered with Lifetopia to provide a roommate matching service “RoommateClick.” This new service will enable you to choose your roommate and housing preferences and is available to all residential students.

By using RoommateClick, you will be able to search for a roommate(s) based on many factors such as degree major, personal and academic interest, or building preference. It’s simple, log on to SoutheastMissouri.roommateclick.com

Here is how it works:

1. Go to SoutheastMissouri.roommateclick.com
2. Create a profile by signing up using your Southeast ID (SO#) and Last name as your password (access is only granted to students with active housing contracts)
3. Once your profile is complete, you can search for potential roommates
4. For students who have not pre-selected a roommate, the Office of Residence Life will match roommates, based upon the responses to the "lifestyle questions" on the Contract for University Housing. Many of our students allow the Office of Residence Life to make roommate choices - and we do a very good job!  While we are very proud of our success matching roommates, we strongly encourage students to utilize Roommate Click and thereby help in selecting your new roommate.
5. Note: Students living in a Learning Community can only be assigned a roommate that meets the criteria of the Learning Community. For example a student planning to live on the Honors floor cannot select a non-Honors students to be their roommate and remain on the Honors floor.
