Cheney Hall

Cheney Hall is a unique residence hall with 123 residents. The entire hall operates as a single community, which differs from the way floor communities often develop in the Towers area. Cheney Hall has a rich tradition of student involvement in hall activities, international programs, and artistic pursuits. Becasue of the high demand for Cheney rooms, this residence hall is reserved for returning students.

Conveniently located at the middle of campus, Cheney offers easy access to Academic Hall, Brandt, Carnahan Hall, Parker, Scully and Dempster buildings.

Cheney Hall has a distinct personality, combining international and global awareness with artistic and non-traditional student interests. If you like rich, old architecture with an eclectic feel and furnishings, this hall may be just for you!

Each floor has a separate shower area, with privatized shower facilities. Each student room has a sink, which students find very convenient! There is a lounge with comfortable furniture, a microwave, and a television on the first floor, in addition to a community lounge on the second floor which houses a television, large table, and various games and utilities for student use.

Students share access to a large laundry room, kitchenette with ice machine, and lounge areas. The lounge has a large-screen television, comfortable furniture, and an ice machine. The large laundry room means one-stop laundry; there are enough machines to wash all of your clothes at once!

Each room is equipped with a cable TV and telephone line. Each room has a Local Area Network (LAN) port for each resident of the room.

There is no typical room in Cheney Hall - each has its own personality!
