Eric L. Clements, associate professor of history and public history at Southeast Missouri State University, grew up in Colorado. He received his master's degree in history with a museum studies certification from the University of Delaware and his doctorate in the history of the American West from Arizona State University. His particular historical interests include resource extraction, transportation, and tourism.
His first book, After the Boom in Tombstone and Jerome, Arizona: Decline in Western Resource Towns, was published in 2003 by the University of Nevada Press.
