Dr. Ramos is an assistant professor of Physical Education Teacher Education (PETE) at Southeast Missouri State University. He has over 10 years of teaching experience at the university level in PETE programs. He teaches courses in the PETE program including Teaching Techniques of Physical Education, Secondary Physical Education Field Experience, Adapted Physical Education as well as Team and Individual Sports.

Dr. Ramos’ research is focused on three main areas in the study of physical education teacher education studies: (1) The learning of novel motor skills (Feedback), (2) Teaching Methods and the Use of Technology in Physical Education Teacher Education and (3) Pre-service Teachers’ Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK).

Dr. Ramos has presented his research at Physical Education Conferences including American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (AAHPERD), Hawaii International Conference on Education, Southern District Conference and State conferences such as Kentucky Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (KYAHPERD) and the Puerto Rico Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (PRAHPERD).

Dr. Ramos has over 15 years of coaching experience as he has coached women’s volleyball teams in NCAA Division I and Division III.

Dr. Ramos represented the Puerto Rico Team Handball National Team for 10 years including the 1993 Central American Games in Puerto Rico, the 1995 Pan American Games in Argentina, the 1996 Pan American Games of Team Handball in Colorado Springs, CO and in 2000 in Sherbrooke, Canada.
