Organizations American Council on Education (ACE NET): a networking organization that assists the professional development of individuals involved in higher education, this is a project of the Office of Women in Higher Education as part of the American Council on Education. Clerical-Technical-Service (CTS) Staff Council: the official representative body of Clerical, Technical and Service employees of Southeast. The Council provides an appropriate forum to discuss matters involving staff and to improve communication between staff and administrators concerning policies and practices governing the University. Faculty Senate: as the official representative body of the entire faculty, the Faculty Senate upholds the principles of the collegial form of governance, encourages mutual contributions from the various sections of the University community and provides an appropriate forum for discussing matters involving the professional staff. Phi Kappa Phi: established to promote the pursuit of excellence in all fields of higher education and to recognize outstanding achievement by students, faculty, and others through election to membership, and through various awards for distinguished achievement. Professional Staff Council: an elected body of professional staff employees whose purpose is to provide a forum through which common concerns and opinions regarding University matters may be voiced.
