Operations Support personnel include an operations support manager, warehouseman, payroll specialist, inventory clerk, key and lock coordinator, and student employees. The Operations staff provides support to the campus community and Facilities Management employees by coordinating the following services.
Warehouse operations include procuring, storing and maintaining an inventory of over 10,000 line items of materials, supplies and tools necessary for the department to complete its mission. Central and remote warehouses provide employees access to materials and equipment, with personnel available to procure non-stock items and provide delivery to job sites. Research services are provided to employees as needed for investigation of materials and equipment options.
Campus facilities utilize a lock system which features interchangeable cores. This system allows Facilities Management to produce individual locks and keys as needed, thus providing optimal security to students, employees, equipment and property. All lock changes are processed through Facilities Management by submitting a work order request. University employees may obtain keys by submitting a completed key request form. Facilities Management manages a retail fuel vending system through the contract service Wright Express. To inquire about this system please call x2349.
Requests for services can be submitted electronically by accessing iServiceDesk or by calling x2349. Work orders are then dispatched through the Facilities Management Service Center. Customers can track the progress and related costs through iServiceDesk.
