Crystal Jones directs initiatives for the Economic and Business Engagement Center that advance economic and workforce development. Her duties include collaboration with local, regional, state, and federal stakeholders to stimulate economic growth in southeast Missouri through entrepreneurship, technology and innovation, and workforce education.
Crystal received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Southeast Missouri State University and a Master of Business Administration from William Woods University. She also received her Professional Community and Economic Developer (PCED) certification from the Community Development Institute in 2017, completed Harvard Kennedy School’s Executive Education program in 2014, and is a 2012 graduate of the Delta Regional Authority’s Delta Leadership Institute.
Crystal participated in the Missouri Governor's Innovation Task Force in 2017 and is a member of Southeast's Administrative Council and the Prior Learning Assessment group. She also participates in many community outreach organizations through memberships in the Kiwanis Club of Jackson, MO where she has served as President, Old Town Cape's Economic Vitality Committee, board member for Smart Space of Poplar Bluff, and memberships in the Cape Girardeau, Jackson, Poplar Bluff, Perryville, Dexter, Malden, and Kennett Chambers of Commerce.
