The Office of Student Financial Services (SFS), at Southeast Missouri State University, consists of both Financial Aid and Students Accounts/Billing & Collections. Established in fall 2000, SFS serves as a one-stop-shop to help current and prospective students with their financial needs throughout their college careers. 

The staff members in SFS serve as advocates, advisors, problem-solvers and educators who strive to do their best in helping students and their families with financial clarification and resolutions. The Customer Service Representatives are fully trained to answer all financial questions and assist you with your financial needs.

Office Hours

Student Financial Services is closed from 8 a.m. – 9 a.m. every Wednesday for staff meetings, training, federal updates, etc.

Regular office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday (9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesdays).  Summer hours will continue as 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (9 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Wednesdays).

CODE OF CONDUCT

As active institutional members of the National Association of Student Financial Aid Professionals (NASFAA), the Financial Aid employees at Southeast Missouri State University have historically subscribed to the NASFAA Code of Conduct. The Code is intended to help guide financial aid professionals in carrying out their obligations, particularly with regard to ensuring transparency in the administration of the student financial aid programs, and to avoid the harm that may arise from actual, potential, or perceived conflict of interest.

Consortium Information: A consortium agreement is used to combine enrollment between two schools to make students eligible for federal aid they would not otherwise be eligible for.

Student Employment: As a Southeast student, you have the opportunity to work on campus through the Federal Work Study program or regular institutional employment.
