Celebrating the Reopening of Academic with Dr. Williams

Dr. Williams participated in the Grand Reopening of Academic Hall as one of the six who addressed the gathering. He also participated in the ribbon cutting. Communication Studies will be the academic department in Academic Hall, with its offices and classrooms occupying most of the top level beginning in Spring 2014. Most students at Southeast will have a class in Communication Studies. Hence, most students will experience the classrooms in the “new” Academic Hall!

Textbook co-authored by Dr. Williams wins a top award!

The National Communication Association has awarded the Textbook of Distinction Award this year to Public Speaking and Civic Engagement. The text, a Pearson title now in its third edition, is authored by J. Michael Hogan of Penn State, Patricia and James Andrews of Indiana University, and our very own Glen Williams.
