Alisa McFerron joined the admissions team in July 2007. She is the Assistant Director of Admissions for Operations.
Originally from De Soto, Mo., Alisa graduated from Southeast in December 2004 with a Bachelor of Science degree in mass communication with a public relations emphasis. She also graduated with a Master of Public Administration degree from Southeast in 2011. During her undergraduate years, Alisa was actively involved in her sorority, Alpha Delta Pi, and in Southeast’s chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA). In addition, she was a Student Government officer, a staff writer for the Capaha Arrow campus newspaper, and a Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society officer.
Alisa is a member of University Student Affairs Committee, Athletic Compliance Committee, Graduate
Council, Scholarship Review Committee, Enrollment Development Team, Missouri Association
of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (MACRAO), Missouri Association of
College Admissions Counselors (MOACAC), American Association of Collegiate Registrars
and Admission Officers (AACRAO) and National Association of College Admission Counselors
(NACAC). She also serves as the chair-elect of Professional Staff Council.
In her free time, Alisa enjoys spending time with her husband, Ross, and children, Wesley and Leah, exercising, shopping, and spending time with other family and friends. She also enjoys being active in the Young Alumni Chapter of Southeast’s Alumni Association and getting involved on campus and in the community.
