Alix Gasser joined the admissions team in August 2010. She is the Assistant Director of Admissions for Communications and currently coordinates the HOBY Leadership Conference on Southeast's campus. She currently serves on the ITC Committee. She has previously served on the Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration Dinner Committee and the IT Connections Committee.
A native of Mogadore, Ohio, Alix attended college at Southeast Missouri State University and graduated in August 2010 with a Business degree in Integrated Marketing Communications and in December 2015 with her Masters in Business Administration in Entrepreneurship. Through her major she completed an internship at the Douglas C. Greene Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship on Southeast’s campus, creating and implementing the Start-Up Studio’s communication plan. During her undergraduate years, Alix was very active on campus participating in Southeast’s Theater Department, Southeast Dance Marathon, Presidential Ambassadors, and River Campus Student Ambassadors. She was also Resident Assistant, Senior Resident Assistant, and Assistant Hall Director in the various Residence Halls on campus.
While not in the office Alix enjoys anything to do with animals, her and her husband, George Gasser, currently own three dogs: Silke a miniature dachshund, Sasha an italian greyhound/ miniature pinscher mix, and Bentley a beagle. In their spare time they foster dogs with the Humane Society of Southeast Missouri. Alix also enjoys the theater, watching movies/ TV shows, and chilling with friends.
Alix is excited about meeting with prospective students and sharing her love of Southeast with them.
