The The Earl and Margie Holland School of Visual and Performing Arts at Southeast is comprised of the Department of Art, Department of Music and the Department of Theatre & Dance and students in these disciplines receive their training at River Campus. Students may elect programs of study that lead to either a professional degree or a liberal arts degree. And to keep up with growing demand, River Campus has undergone new construction of instructional spaces that include an on-site Residence Hall opening this Fall.
Bringing all the visual and performing arts together in one location offers unique opportunities for students to experience innovative degree programs and to work with other artists and performers on a daily basis. Find out more about the River Campus Center and all it has to offer!
Students and faculty at the Southeast Missouri State University River Campus are partnering with the Discovery Playhouse in Cape Girardeau for a program that will give children hands-on lessons in all areas of the arts.
The Earl and Margie Holland School of Visual and Performing Arts will be offering one musical theatre class for youth in grades 2-7. This class will offer students the opportunity to participate in theatre games and exercises. Students will be learning scenes and songs from Hairspray and participate in a final performance for friends and family on November 15th at 11am. All classes will take place at Southeast's River Campus Center in the new acting and directing studio.
