Requirements for Admission to the Teacher Education Program:

  • 2.75 cumulative GPA
  • Passage of all sections of the Missouri General Education Assessment (MoGEA) test
  • 42 hours of course credits, EN140 completed with a grade of “C” or above
  • Missouri Educator Profile (MEP) results on file
  • Block I successfully passed with "credit" or "C" or above
    • ED250 Introduction to Education or ME222 Principles of Teaching (Music)
    • ED251 Instuctional Technology in the Classroom
    • CF/PY120 The Child (Elementary, Early, and Exceptional) or PY222 Development of the Adolescent (Middle and Secondary)

All applications for admission to the Teacher Education Program should be submitted to the Teacher Education Advising Center (SC308) by October 15 (for Spring admission) and March 15 (for Fall admission).
