Southeast's technology management program is accredited by the Association of Technology, Management, and Applied Engineering (ATMAE). ATMAE sets standards for academic program accreditation, personal certification, and professional development for educators and industry professionals involved in integrating technology, leadership and design. Accreditation requires that the program curriculum be current and have high standards, include all of the essential elements, and maintain a competitive edge, so graduates can find employment compatible with their abilities and the demands of industry.
The industrial and safety management option in Southeast's technology management program provides graduates with the proper balance of safety management and technology training for improving systems and processes in the manufacturing and production sectors of industry. Graduates will be knowledgeable about health and environmental practices and have an understanding of physical, chemical and biological hazards in the occupational environment.
