You are eligible for admission as a transfer student if you are in good academic standing at your last accredited college/university and have a 2.0 cumulative transfer GPA with 24 or more transferable hours. If you have fewer than 24 transferable hours at the time of transfer you will also have to meet beginning freshman admission guidelines.
If you are not in good academic standing at your last accredited college/university, you may be considered for probationary admission to Southeast one year after your last semester of full-time enrollment.
A transfer admissions counselor is available to provide one-on-one advising and guidance throughout the transfer process. Transferring from one institution to another involves preparation. At Southeast, we will assist you every step of the way. If you begin your education at a community college and plan to transfer later, we can help select course work for you major at your current school. For information on how courses will transfer to Southeast, check out our Transfer Course Conversion site and Transfer Guides.
Apply for transfer admission at the beginning of your last semester at the current college. You do not need to wait until your current semester is completed. Apply early to take advantage of Southeast's enrollment system. If you plan to transfer in the fall and live on campus, apply for admission by November 1 to meet the recommended Housing Contract completion date of December 1.
Note: Admission to the University does not indicate admission to programs that have additional admission criteria and/or specific prerequisites. For information on admission to programs, refer to our Undergraduate Bulletin.
